The new Outrigger hotel at Noosa is having opening specials, of $279 per night for a one bedroom suite. You should first compare Laguna on Hastings, at 32 Hastings Street, which is the Sebel Noosa. The Outrigger is located at Little Hastings Street, which is about a 7 minute walk from the beach and shops at Hastings Street, up a big hill. Laguna on Hastings is located right on Hastings Street, a zero minute walk to the shops and restaurants, and 1 minute to the beach.

Hasting Street

If you are planning a trip to Noosa or the Sunshine Coast, I recommend staying in an apartment on Hastings Street. There are beachside apartments, where some have ocean views. There are also non-beach front apartment -- some of these have river views and some do not. The best value apartments, in my opinion, are the apartments in Sebel Noosa Resort (also known as Laguna on Hastings). These are high quality, luxury one or two bedroom apartments. This resort has a great pool, plus a toddlers wading pool. My favourite is apartment 333, which is top floor with river views and wireless internet. There is still some vacancy for December 2009 and January 2010. This apartment also has the best view of the finish line for the Noosa Triathlon. There is a 20% discount for all bookings in 2009, which is a great deal for a luxury apartment on Hastings Street.

Noosa - Romantic Hotel Suite
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Noosa Heads in Queensland, I recommend the Sebel Noosa Resort.
The Resort has a great central pool, that everyone seems to love. The rooms have high quality furnishings and are fully air conditioned.
The Resort is not huge, only about 110 rooms, so it is quite personal and not overly busy.
Book here.

Romantic Place to Stay in Noosa Heads
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Noosa Heads in Queensland, I recommend the Sebel Noosa Resort.
The Resort has a great central pool, that everyone seems to love. The rooms have high quality furnishings and are fully air conditioned.
The Resort is not huge, only about 110 rooms, so it is quite personal and not overly busy.
The Resort is located on Hastings Street, in the center of the action at Noosa, but is designed so that it is a private resort with two large courtyards. It does not overlook the ocean, but about 18 rooms overlook the Noosa River.
The Resort has one and two bedroom suites. There are no hotel rooms -- each suite is an apartment with a separate bedroom, living area, balcony, kitchen and dining table. Most of the two bedroom suites have two bathrooms.
There are a number of different aspects for each suite
Each room is three numbers. The first number is the building number, the second number is the floor number, the third number is the suite.
That is, room 121 is in building 1, floor 2, suite 1. Room 334 is building 3, floor 3, suite 4.
Buildings 1 and 6 are on the Hastings Street side. Buildings 3 and 4 are on the River side. Buildings 2 and 5 are internal only. There are main pool views from some of the suites in buildings 1, 2, 5 and 6.

Best Place to Stay in Noosa
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Noosa Heads in Queensland, I recommend the Sebel Noosa Resort.
The Resort has a great central pool, that everyone seems to love. The rooms have high quality furnishings and are fully air conditioned.
The Resort is small, only about 110 rooms, so it is quite personal and not overly busy.
Interestingly, all rooms are privately owned, by individuals. (It is not a timeshare, but a regular apartment building.) Some are used by the owners only and are not available for guests. Others are managed by the onsite hotel manager -- Sebel, which is owned by the Mirvac Group. Others are rented by real estate agents and accommodation booking offices on Hastings Street.
There are two ways to books rooms at this resort.
You can book via the Sebel Hotel chain. You will not know what room you get until you turn up.
Alternatively, you can book with an offsite agent.
The advantage of the offsite agent is that you book a particular room.
As this Resort has some bad rooms, with no views and looking at blank walls, you have to be careful.

Some people have commented that the pool view rooms are noisier.
My favourite room is Room 333. It is on the third floor of building 3 and overlooks the Noosa River, and has views to the mountains. It has large windows in the bedroom, which also has the river view. It is a one bedroom suite, with a small kitchen and large bathroom (with a spa).
You can book this room via Richardson & Wrench at: www.rwnoosaholidays.com.au from the end of June 2007.
I would be interested in your views if you have stayed at this resort.
